Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Nambroth, that's some good stuff you have up! I realize that you're probably in short supply of frames, but a couple of them struck me as not showing off your artwork as well as it could...Like the woodpeckers, I can very easily see an orangey-type wood frame on there, or a rugged barnwood type frame or a rough textured frame. (looks like it's been pecked into) The more rugged type frames would look well on just about all the pictures you have since they're wildlife (except the blue parrot, I love that frame combo on it).

As you may have guessed, I work in a frame shop. ;) I go through quite a lot of artwork in a year, and being in the middle of Iowa, a chunk of it is wildlife. Just about every customer loves the more natural looking wood on their artwork when it suits the piece. (while some barnwood type woods would look nice on the swans, they're heavily connected with royalty and so forth so having an ornate gold frame completely goes with it. So, blah blah blah me talking shop, congratulations on your show, and I hope you sell lots of paintings!

Some major "tude here! Thanks for posting these for our enjoyment!

I agree with these suggestions ( I am hugely addicted to buying real, original, local art, and have so much great stuff!). I think a lot of these would benefit from matting, too. Framing is awfully expsive, but it makes such a difference.

My acrylics are framed without glass so they should not be matted. :)

Thanks for the frame suggestions. Generally I go with what I like and what I can afford. Sometimes the best frames for the piece are out of my grasp. As it is, my custom frames regularly cost me over $100 each-- and that's with me framing them myself. I've easily spent thousands just to frame my pieces, with no guarantee that they'll sell. It's really scary when living paycheck to paycheck.

I have all of my work for sale on my site-- not sure if I can link it here as I don't want to self-promote, but if you click my name/profile you will find my website.
