Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Your call Pyxis! I will tell you that I LOVE my faverolles... Coho is by far my sweetest, cuddly chicken... and we all know Derp! I wouldn't trade them for anything. But I will never get any more unless I can build a separate run for them. They are just bullied far too much, even by my other docile hens. Just remember that all birds are individuals. You might get a pullet that is fiery and sticks up for herself, or you might get the more typical meek faverolles that allows herself to be bullied, stressed, etc. Make sure you are prepared to deal with it if your faveroelles needs extra TLC! Mine definitely do.

Hmm...I think I'll wait on getting a SF, then. I don't want to subject her to bullying! Although I do have a Meyer Meal Maker coming with my order, and if they happen to choose a SF for it...well, I won't complain ;)

My favorelle pullet is VERY derpish. She stays by herself, puttering around the coop and staring at things. She hasn't swallowed a q-tip, or not that I've noticed. :p I thought she was egg eating for a while as she was always staring at the nest boxes, but nope, she's just strange. No bullying tho, but they free range. She stays wandering around the run most of the time. :p

Alrighty guys, I figured you'd be the right people to ask: I have an order placed at Meyer Hatchery and I'm considering adding a SF pullet! I figure, what's one more at this point? So, who thinks it's a good idea? Changing my order will effectively make this chick a 14 dollar chicken  but I'm thinking about it. How do you think she'd do in a flock? I mostly have breeds known for docility on purpose. My breeds are: Red Star, cochin, polish, silkie, OEGB, easter egger, light brahma, buff orpington, and leghorn. Before every thinks I have a million chickens, I have only one of each with three exceptions! They're all very gentle, sweet birds. No one is really aggressive. Oh, and I have ducks. What do you think? Should I add one?

I have a Faverolle in a flock with a Polish, a Silkie, 4 bantam EEs, and a Buff Orpington. We have no problems. She actually kinda rules the flock. However, we are rehoming her because she is VERY unfriendly towards me. She won't let me touch her and when I do, she tries to escape and lets out these abonoxious honking noises. Maybe she will calm down when she is older, but I don't have time to find out. I just got unlucky. If you want one, get one.
