Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Oh yes, how could I forget her best buddy Grill, and her white chair. Oh, I want to play with these - maybe you could have boxed sets. Too old for doll houses but, no one outgrows Derp.

I can't get the figure out of my mind. You could have a chess set of Derp and co., Derp would probably stare to long to complete a move tho. You could have Derp-opoly -. I better lie down I'm getting too hyper.

love the idea of derp chess pieces! can see her staring at those pieces!!

Nova- that was my little Ruth, a micro serama, sweetest little one- lost her suddenly a few weeks ago- she only laid clear eggs, no yolks in them - i hate losing them and this year has been a hard one...

Artsy Robin so sorry to hear you lost Ruth. What a beauty she was? I think maybe the micro mini's aren't as robust . I know I've read they usually are infertile.

My friend Arline has two serama hens but they are larger- they lay decent size eggs but, peck them open as soon as possible and their dog buddy Buffy finishes them off.

from all the research i've read there is a 'fatality gene' in some seramas, basically their heart gives out- she was an awesome little one- i have larger seramas, and they are pretty healthy- sounds like your friend needs to add some calcium- being so small he might need to get calcium at the pet store because its smaller than what is at the feed store

then we have my fav trio- all because of derp!LOL!

I just had a conversation with the woman who I get my organic feed from. She said she had recently started putting the oyster shells in a waterer, and adding water to it. It makes a sort of calcium "tea" and her flock have been really liking it. It might work for the micros without having to buy smaller sized oyster shell. Just a thought...
