Ms Lydia, Thanks for all your input. Have a quick question b/c I read up on the Crested on this website. It said there is an issue with brain development and a problem with the skull due to breeding.... i did notice this one has a bald spot on it's head when you move the crest or fuzz (what I call it) aside. Just happened to notice when petting it's head. Is this normal or could it be a problem for the little one.Looks to be crested which means there could be neurological issues. I would def start the Liquid BComplex and being you are a TSC employee your right there where the best one is Durvet injectable but we use it orally, since it’s so tiny I’d try and give it some drops by mouth just inside it’s Bill Let it swallow an do it again. Once up on its feet better go to Hal a ml over its feed just small amount of feed so it gets the whole dose. Too little for mealworms which is a ducks fav treat unless you crush them up. Please let us know how this little one is doing and bless you for caring!
Ms. Lydia, I need you again; posted this on the emergencie forum and over a half hour and "no" response whatsoever and this little one can't wait too long for me to learn how to help him/her. Got another one; this time it's a baby bantam. Holds it's leg up and the leg is shaking and not sure what is wrong with the leg. Favoring it a whole lot and won't put any weight on it at all. putting a video I took in; please advise how I can help this baby....I know nothing about splints for baby chicks legs esp one so teenie tiny ... following is my post on Emergencies.. Hi folks! I have a baby bantam that we put in the back apart from the others due to a lame leg. (I work at TSC) I brought it home but need some serious advise on how to address the issue with it's little leg...it is soooo tiny
