Desperately seeking fertile hatching Pilgrim Goose eggs

I had a single Pilgrim gosling hatch out of four fertilized eggs. Help! He is so lonely. Does anyone have any hatching eggs for sale???

My local feed stores are selling goslings right now so you might try checking with those in your area, or perhaps looking on Craigslist for a companion or two for your baby. eBay is a source for hatching eggs but it will be another month+ before you’ll have babies. We’ve experienced having one lone gosling at a time and it’s do-able but not ideal. One was hatched out by one of our geese and raised by the flock. Another time a singleton with splayed legs had to be raised in the house. She bonded with my granddaughter and followed her everywhere, eventually returning to the flock. Yet another time we raised a gosling and duckling together. Good luck to you and please post your updates!

Thank you for the ideas! I went to the store a couple days ago and got Sam (the goose) two duckling friends. Sam seems to think I am Mama so he hangs out with me whenever I have a free minute to spare. I will keep checking everywhere for more goslings but Pilgrims seem hard to come by.

I’m so glad for Sam and the ducklings! What about ordering a couple of goslings from a waterfowl hatchery like Metzer Farms? I bought 2 Pilgrim goslings and several ducklings from them years ago. https://www.metzerfarms.com/Pilgrim...&CustID=23992919&BirdType=Goose&Breed=Pilgrim
