So one day I came home and asked the hubby for a chicken coop, with the bag of baby chicks in hand
Reading all of these threads, that seems common. Well 4 months and 1 daughter's wedding later, we are done. I found all these coop threads so helpful, I thought I would post ours, maybe it will help someone too.
The hotwire is around the outside of the run, and deterred our 110lb German Shepard.
The things we need to finalize are the feeder box, and automatic waterer. We are in this project for about $700. One thing my husband did was built it in sections that are easy to disassemble if we want to move.
We used deck stain, Canyon Brown for walls. Salute red by Sherman Williams for doors with white primer for trim, clear coat for roof.
