I've been waiting for my blue silky to go broody, and I guess she finally has. Last few days she has been sitting in a corner a lot and this morning I went to feed them. She got up to see what I brought her, and I expected to see at least 1 egg in her nest. Well there were no eggs. There, all packed in a nice little bundle were a couple of chunks of watermelon rind and 2 chunks of corn cobs!!!!!. I wanted to laugh so hard, but I just got to thinking how determined she was to hatch something. I had been taking all her eggs and now I can give her a few of the ones I want her to hatch for me. They truly are good incubators, and will sit on anything.
