DETERMINING SEX OF CHICKS

Here's a better picture of my white chicken. I think it's a hen. I'm not sure of the breed-leghorn or white Plymouth Rock maybe?

I know this is a hen but again what breed. Is it a Rhode Island Red?

A have a couple more white plymouths that the farm store gave me. They are only a few weeks old. Not normally a fan of white chickens but her personality makes up for it. Would you agree it's a hen?

The PR isn't a very big chicken so far and looks kind of funky. I hope she gets as big as my other hens and gets prettier!

Here are some better pictures of some of my almost 2 month old chickens. I bought them from our local farm store who buys from a hatchery. They advertise them as Araucanas, Amaraucanas. Who knows! I just call them "chubby cheekers." The roosters have to go. I thought I would keep them until they started crowing but I'm starting to think different. I have 20 pullet chicks I need to house. Which ones are you pretty sure are roosters? Some of these were posted earlier but I took better pictures.

If the White Plymouth Rock in your first pic is only a few weeks old, it is a cockerel given the size and redness of its comb and wattles. :o(

The birds in these six pics are all Easter Egger rather than true Araucanas or Ameraucanas. The only pullet in the group is the white one in the fourth picture down as she has a small comb with a single row of peas in it. The rest of them have the larger and redder combs with three rows of peas that are characteristic of cockerels. :o(
