Devastated! Warning Graphical

3 acres isn't much to fence or keep an eye on.Are you gone a lot?
Have to travel 18 to 48 miles depending on what is needed. We shop once a month as its an hours drive, get back late night, come morning when its feeding time we discover what has happened while gone. We live in a 2 story rock house built in 1926, can't hear much of anything outside unless its very quiet inside and the noise is close to the house. So cameras and microphones will help. If just fence it, dogs from town just jumped my hog fence 50¼" and attacked my goat. 6' fence is a lot more expensive, we can't afford it, but need the eggs to eat and sell to pay utilities. That's why my son started the Go Fund Me as suggested by a friend. Make sense now?

Cameras first, looked at some that use POE, I can run the Cat6 wire up to 328' for 4K and a little over 800' for 2K. These will hold up in court. Then fence the property and another Kangal.
I respectfully disagree! I am not expert but preventing predators from killing your birds requires GOOD enclosed pens with secure latches that can be locked. A GOOD perimeter electric fence would stop most of these predators from ever getting on your property much less near the pens.Game cameras are cheap.Mine cost $28 bucks.

250 people in this town/city. The Deputy's have 900 square miles to patrol they said. They told me get cameras too, as did a council member. I dispatched the dogs and cats. I'm on disability so stuck between a rock and hard spot per say doing what I can. No garage when we moved here so had to make payments on a shipping container to reduce the theft, living room is full of shop tools and tables from my great grandfather, he died in the early 70's at 98, so tables are solid redwood and old.
Most of the people living in small communities are connected or related .You're new and considered an outsider by them. Any one of them could have taken it upon themselves to avenge the death of one or more of the cats and dogs you trapped and dispatched . I wish you the best and hope all this works out.

If all these incidents happened on days you went an hrs drive to the store (once a month)it you might want to get a friend to watch your place when you're gone. Losing 8 or more animals every time you leave is far from normal.Predators aren't that sly.

Another guy other end of town bought 3 game cameras, they stole his chainsaw, boomers, chains and the 3 cameras. You can see the infrared LEDs. What I'm looking to buy are called ColorVu from HikVision, no infrared and 4k will hold up in court.

About 3 acres, very small. Had a lot more land in Nebraska without these issues. There's a lot of drugs in town I hear, so theft follows. I put up T-Post and painted tops purple, the Deputy said is No Tress in Texas. One was pushed over 3 times to drive on my property.
I built a 8 x 16 run 5 ft tall with (15) 2 x 4's on 12" centers on top. They're all laying face down (3.5"wide side) Tops covered with black netting(hardware cloth soon)No dogs getting in here and getting back out without help.I prefer to catch and hold for their owners. Irresponsible owners won't redeem or pay damages. If not they go to a shelter.

Not sure why you can't move the few critters you have left and move them closer to your house since you can't see whats attacking them or hear their distress calls . if 100 have already died you might need to change the way you've got your pens set up.Mine are 20 ft from my backdoor in a fenced yard so nothing bothers them.

The first chickens killed were about 16' from side of house, didn't matter. These dogs running loose are hungry and some as stated here just like to kill chickens, ducks and my goats. So that's why my son and I built the hog wire coop with chicken wire over it. Yes, hardware cloth is better, I can't afford it at this time. If no dogs running loose and no thieves I wouldn't be having this problem. I didn't expect to spend 1,000 on a coop/run. Never had this problem before. That's the same as: I bought a car that I can afford, then it was stolen, Why didn't you build a garage with security??? Because some of us only have very little money, so we buy what we can. So if you can't afford the garage with security, then don't buy a car, just walk! My family needs the eggs to eat, we need the sells of the eggs to pay on utilities and buy food. Its not our fault dummies let their digs run loose and the city council ignores it, or that druggies cook meth in town. We have to live here, I spent everything I had to move and the down on this old house.
