I put my chickens on 3cc per gallon of 10% suspension SafeGuard goat dewormer yesterday, and this morning I noticed one of my girls had diarrhea frozen to the feathers under her vent. Is this a normal/okay symptom? Otherwise she is acting normally and laid an egg before I left for school (formed perfectly.)

I also gave them two jackolanterns yesterday-- they ate through the face of one, the other is untouched. Could this also be an issue? Should I only let them access the pumpkin for short intervals instead of all day?

It's just under freezing where I live at the moment and she's on 18% protein non medicated flock raiser. She is 7 months old Silkie x Easter Egger cross.

What worms are you hoping to treat with 3 cc per gallon? That is such a minuscule amount of medication, I seriously doubt it's causing the diarrhea.

Oh just cecal worms. They don't have any, but since our ground has them (I noticed after a bought of them this summer), I treat them every 3 months for cecal worms just to avoid overload. And no, we don't have any turkeys, so the worms are harmless aside from potential overload :)

Oh I can’t do the veterinary things... I’m
just asking why would she suddenly poop on her feathers. I checked her vent and it’s healthy, pink, wide/wet, no worms or bugs visible. Her eyes and nose are clear as well. Just trying to figure out the random burst of poop.
