Dewormer for chickens

Piperazine will only treat roundworms, it works well as a first treatment but should be followed up 7-10 days later with a more broad spectrum dewormer as mentioned above.

I suggest Safeguard (fenbendazole) or Valbazen (albendazole). Do they have worms?

Are the dosages and instructions on the bottles specifically for chickens ? Or do you know what the doses are? My chickens are between 4.4 lbs to 5.5 pounds, they are five.

The Valbazen dose is 0.08 ml per pound of body weight. Give once and repeat in 10 days.

The fenbendazole dose that treats almost all worms is 0.23 ml per pound of body weight for five consecutive days.

Thank you so much for your help ! I am looking into this valbazen drug and see where i can find it. I love my chickens and want nothing but the best for all of them. Getting the chickens weight os gonna be interesting i have never done it. The farm suggested i weight myself with them then subtract my weight. Is there any other easier way?

Do you happen to have a kitchen scale? If so, you might get a more accurate weight. I have a digital kitchen scale, and I like to wrap it in plastic wrap (for sanitary reasons) before putting a chicken on.
Depending on the scale, you can not only get their weight in pounds, but you can get additional information, such as their additional weight in ounces. For example, it may say that your chicken weighs 5 pounds and 3 ounces, which can help you determine the correct dosage even more accurately.

I was able to get their weight using my scale i triple checked it. I first weight myself then held each hen and deducted my weight. Next i had to bribe them with a treat n they did stand up on it so i could verify thank you so much for your help .
