Dewormer suggestions?

I am looking to deworm my flock of 8 hens. Valbazen appears to be on a manufacturer backorder and I can't find it available anywhere, even online. My girls were given ivermectin 3 weeks ago for mites but I believe we are still dealing with a possible worm issue. From what I've read, the overuse of ivermectin has led to its reduced effectiveness on many worm types.

I do have safeguard suspension on hand already, which I treated them with last summer. But I have at least two girls starting a molt already and am aware of the issue with this medication and feather regrowth. I am really only familiar with these three meds for worming. Any recommendations for what else I can use?

Am I safe to assume the albendazole directions that come with the product don't include anything about chicken dosing? Suggestions on how much to administer? Did you add to water or administer orally (and per bird)? Thanks in advance!

Also, thanks for that link ... though it didn't take me straight to the product it did take me to www.horseprerace.com where I did a search and it popped right up. :thumbsup

Thank you, Dawg53! I particularly appreciate your recommendation to do a trial run with the birds to get comfortable with the process ... and maybe so will they. Wishful thinking, eh? :lau

Would like your opinion on something else. In an AvianVets.org article "deworming-chickens" it says,

"Since poultry has small digestive tracts, they can only get rid of a limited amount of debris at a time. It is, therefore, important that you use a "milder" dewormer first before you bring out the big guns. A chicken vet would likely prescribe Wazine initially to eliminate the roundworms only. Going straight to Valbazen would get rid of all the worms at once, which could end up killing the chicken." January 2021

I couldn't find "Wazine" ... supposedly it's been prohibited by FDA since the writing of that article and taken off the U.S. market. I was curious if Safe-guard AquaSol (aka Fenbendazole) may be a good substitute since at the low dosage rate it appears only effective for "roundworms and cecal worms." Then follow up with the Valbazen (Albendazole) for "all the other worms." What are your thoughts on that process?

Below are links to the two articles I've been reading and thinking to use as a guide (as well as this post!):

Wazine aka Piperazine is no longer sold in the U.S. It only got rid of large roundworms.
Use Albendazole, that's the only wormer you need, it kills ALL types of worms except tapeworms. Albendazole slowly kills worms over several days. I've been using it for years in my birds without any issues.
