My layers have worms (assuming roundworms, long white worms). I found a few in their droppings, dewormed them 8 weeks ago with Safeguard and only saw one or two worms expelled from the deworming. I admittedly totally missed the boat on repeating 10-14 days later but really questioned if the Safeguard was doing anything or not, given any other animal that has worms bad enough to see in their stool, when dewormed, drops a lot of them.
Anyways, a couple of days ago I found another worm, so they're quite clearly in need of a good effective deworming. What do you recommend?
I have Ivermectrin horse paste and Safeguard goat de-wormer on hand, which is why I tried the Safeguard (easy to get their dose drawn up).
But I can purchase something else. I used to have Wazine, but read on the bottle not to use in layers, never noticed a big worm issue, it expired and I threw it out.
