DH said those are the ugliest chickens

Last week some thing (I think a stray dog) kill 7 of my chickens. So this week end at the flea market I saw an old customer from my old job selling chicks so I had to look. He had about 30 naked neck chicks. He is one of those wheeler dealer kinda people. Said he order those chicks thinking they would be big. You know cause they are half turkey

. So I end up getting 4 pullets and a free roo for $2 each. They are about one month old. Every one at work was teasing that next week I would be putting sun screen on those littlie necks of theirs. DGD is so worried about them not having all their feathers. Next door nieghbor said they would be safe from any varment cuz they were so ughly the varments would be scared to eat them!!

When people start giving you flack about your turkens, tell em what I do....

Most of my turken girls lay eggs 6 days a week; two - Ivy and Mandi - lay eggs so large the carton won't close. Also, purebred turkens are immune to most of the common chicken diseases. So,

Ahh they are beautiful the 2nd one looks like my 2 girls, but I just absolutly love the one in the last picture she is just stunning. I would take her in a heartbeat.
