Diagnose This Poop (is it ulcerative enteritis?)

Sadly, he didn't make it. He ate less and less and continued to weaken until he passed. I'm sorry his last days were so miserable for him.

Unfortunately another bird started showing similar symptoms. We gave him penicillin in water and dewormer mixed in his feed, hoping to treat whatever this is. We gave the same to the rest of the flock, as a precaution.

He finished both medications' treatment periods yesterday, but he still feels bad: lethargic, fluffed up, spending large parts of the day under the heater. He eats a little bit, but not much. He sometimes has clear, watery poop, but also passes a variety of other looking feces throughout the day, from small, mucousy and light blown, to large, dark, and chunky. (Sorry for the mental image) He doesn't have a big appetite, but he does eat.

Does he just need time to build his strength back up, or should we try a different medication, or extend the treatment period?
