Yes, all birds (parrots to chickens) cannot resist what's near ears. They find your face to be another bird - and that's why they want to be close to it. And if it's got 'decor', well, why can't they share in it?
WARNING - if you wear glasses, they'll remove those from your face also. Sunglasses especially! (Voice of experience here - pet bird rescue lady with one fiesty cockatiel who does this regularly - as well as a few other birds out of the 20 we tend.)
