diarrehea

I was just reading a link, and tiamulin or Denagard actually does treat coccidiosis. too.
Eggcessive do you have the link for this information on Denagard(tiamulin). In Canada i cannot find any information regarding Denegard and Coccidiosis,it is however used to treat swine dysentery(bacterial intestinal infection)this is the only info i am able to locate.

Interesting, but makes sense since some sulfa drugs are used to treat it, too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Denaguard is a sulfa drug, just saying that if one antibiotic can be used there are probably others that will work.

An update. She has still got severe diarreah. Like water. She has been on her anti biotics since Friday. Shouldn't her poo be toughening up by now? She is still eating and drinking and her crop is full. Don't know what else we can do really? How long do you wait?

No we haven't been weighing her at all if I'm honest. The only scales we have are kitchen scales. She has her last dose of anti biotics tomorrow. My dad said they started firming up but now they have gone worse again. She is drinking a lot and still picking at her food and she has a full crop. Hopefully her poo will start firming up at the end of the week? What do you reckon?

Start weighing her on a kitchen scale, that's what I use. Then you'll have some data to reference if her poop doesn't firm up. If she's getting better she should be gaining weight, even while she has the runs.

Ok great thank you. How long does it take for the poo to firm up in your experience? I am so worried she won't get better. She is still lethargic.

If you were in my position what would be the next steps you would take? Is it just a waiting game now? How long do the anti biotics take to kick in?
