did I explain that ok? I heard geese are different than ducks and are more like chickens as far as pets, maybe that's the route u need instead

and BTW mom said a goose in the store cost her over 40 bucks!

Ugh, nevermind the ducks then, though they are cute.

I like the look of the Sebastopols. Anyone have those? How are they personality-wise, generally?

Yeah, got it. It's just weird. I heard they are so nice and all, but geese. Hmm, I don't know. We had some when I first moved to the farm and they were not nice!

Rare here. There are not many good lines to buy from. People are getting them and inbreeding. I just bought some CL eggs for $5 each and she upped her price to $8 each now.

Ok so I have a stupid staggered hatch, 2 go into lockdown today and 2 tomorrow and the next but if the ones that go tomorrow and the next are rocking should I lock em down today too?

Perhaps my streak of bad luck is ending?? I put 3 eggs into lockdown on Friday. I had my hatcher just a tad cooler than I had been running it. The past two hatches, I had 1 chick hatch out the day after lockdown, and the rest died... Yesterday late afternoon (5ish), I checked on them... Nothing. My bator is at work, so it's a little easier for me to stay hands off. This morning when I got to work, there was a chick hatched and dry, and the other two had pipped. The other to hatched out perfectly fine during the course of the morning! So that was 3 for 3 that went into lockdown!!!! Yay!!!!

I have another set of eggs going into lockdown on Wednesday, then my duck eggs on next Monday... Hoping for good results!
