well comparing all 4 eggs that I have cracked 2 had no visible white spot and the other 2 had the white spot that looked like a bulls eye. These have not been incubated but straight from the nest to the fridge. All of the pics I have seen have been day 1 as well. Good question. Now I am wondering...

Hubby and I had a discussion about that a while ago, I just never did research it! Not that I want to incubate my different breeds X my one only SLW roo! LOL

Look at the surprise i got in my incy today - sally these eggs were in with the chicken eggs i lost all of ... i transferred them ..really wasnt expecting anything and if so at least not til tommorow and this lil one was peeping away in the bator this afternoon around lunch

Locked down this morning pulled 3 at 10 days, pulled 3 this morning so 64 made it to lockdown

oh wow !! nice bunch ..i got 3 more duck eggs in that are due to hatch tommorow ... one is pipped part way the others nothing yet ... good luck with yours .. then there are more chicken eggs in there and a few quail ... its a staggered hatch

wish my stupid ducks would start laying I am selling off a several drakes that are just eating up feed tho.

Quote: my girl has laid steady as can be since she started with her bad pekin self ... i let her go broody this past summer but she never hatched anything ... the first batch i put in the incubator didnt do much but these surprised me ive got about 6 more that can go in when there is room then im done with duck hatching for the year ..... i have a mallard "hen" that is not laying and we lost her sister and drake to a predator recently which sucks cause now i cant try those when she starts laying .. i am thinking about rehoming her lonely self ...

My anconas are only 4 months old so are half the cayugas. ill have to find how old the other ones are
