LAYER MASH
I run with two buckets alternating daily, no straining!
Fill one 5 gal bucket a little less than HALF WAY WITH HOT tap water
ADD 1 cup ACV with mother
ADD layer mash little at a time until thick like a thick milk shake, make sure your at least 4" below the top of the bucket when done so it don't puff up over the top.
Sit for 3 full days, Stir only one time per day! and don't stir the day you use it, take feed off the top, only stir after replenishing. Cover with cheese cloth as it MUST BREATHE!
On feed day, take off the top (DONT STIR) Only what you intend to feed, add enough HOT tap water to replace what you took add mash and mix to THIcK shake again,
I use two bukets, don't strain it should get thick enough to use, you may have to get used to how thick to mix it as it thickens and puffs up as it sits.
