I set 25 and no they were not shipped. Bought local. Except for #25 and that was mine. 5 were infertile and clear at day 14 and 3 were early deaths. I didn't eggtopsy but I could... They are still in there. Wasn't sure I'd have the stomach for it. Just a small darker mass in the middle no veins present. But there is "something" in there.

I freeze extra eggs for eating and baking this winter when no one feels like laying. Crack, scramble freeze.
Hey guys!

For my art final, I'm doing a series of drawings of embryonic development on blown out goose eggs. I plan to draw embryos at 0 days, 5 days, 10 days, 15 days, and 20 days. Here's my first one, it's of a 15 day old embryo. I understand that it may not be accurate, so please critique the embryo if you can. I tried to make the fluff look more wet, but it didn't work out.

Amazing!

tell me about it!
Okay! I get up in the morning, and put on a coat. Twenty minutes later I go out with vegetables, and sweat in a pair of shorts.
I turned off the heat lamp (finally!!) for the 7 -week-olds last night, and candled the eggs. I checked a BCM, and could only kinda trace the air cell. I candled an EE, and was able to see the veining. The temp is still going between 100-102.
Aren't Marans hard to hatch? I thought you guys (in PA Unite) were talking about it a while back.
I am skipping the stuff from the last few days I didn't read. Anything I should know?
My Marans hatched fine. My eggs aren't the darkest, but they're pretty dark. I know, the darker the egg, the harder to hatch.

yeah, I could do with a lot of hugs at the moment! Gosh, one moment I'm laughing, next moment I'm crying. I'm a mess at the moment, but I'm trying to stay positive. We'll get through this. We've been blessed with lovely people, on BYC and people we met here, who are doing their best to help smooth the path for us and who are supporting us all the way. It means so much to me.
Sumi, I'm sorry! I promise it gets better, no matter what it is! There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Gorgeous! I seriously thought you carved the top off of an egg. It took me a triple take to figure it out!
