Corid is the same stuff as in medicated feed. Corid (Amprolium 9.6% liquid) 1 pt. bottle. (wt. 1 lb.) To treat Coccidiosis, mix 9. 5 cc (¼ ounce or ½ tablespoon) Corid to 1 gallon of water. Use as the only source of drinking water for 5 to 7 dayI don't use medicated. I do use ACV and had a cocci outbreak this winter. Corid cleared it right up and no fatalities. ACV does not prevent but I think it helps fight against. I have a mixed flock and don't want to have to buy different feed for everyone. I use flock raiser crumbles for the littles up to 6 months or earlier. Depends on when they reach the adult feeder and start helping themselves. This is working for me. Helps that I got rid of the guineas and switched my coops/pens to sand.
x2 Can't wait to see an updated pic.
Idk......I've never candled before ok? I'm going to candle again tonight with a much better setup, darker, brighter light. Is there any way it could be a BAD thing?

Here is a link on the problem from one of my trusted opinions on chicken heath.works like a charm. I only treated for 5 days. I also treated that whole coop so it would not spread/get worse/mutate or whatever it does. Only had 4 littles sick that where in a separate pen in that coop. Treated everyone.![]()
Woohoo!Sally, do you have an AC Moore or a Michael's nearby? Check their facebook page, or look online and get a 50% off one item coupon. You can get a desktop Daylight lamp w/magnifier very cheaply (considering) that way. I absolutely NEED mine to embroider any more, and I even sit under it on successive overcast days (like today ugh) to keep from getting the rainy day blues.
On another note - I have a duckling hatched and drying!![]()
That really stinks. Toss the eggs or did you stuff them in the other 50 bators you have running.Well crap. The soda machine screwed up. The thermostat went out. Going to start over. Gotta get a new thermostat and hook everything up again.
Doug - what is the thermostat you are using?Well crap. The soda machine screwed up. The thermostat went out. Going to start over. Gotta get a new thermostat and hook everything up again.
