I give up on DH he don't listen keeps taking those pills, ran and got him dulcolax he is on his own. I can only do so much right? His mom came and told him to man up! LMAO and she babies him to no end, I had to turn my head and chuckle! It is a miserable house, but I at least had the lower level for comfort, and all my zillion babies! I cleaned two incubators moved the ducks into a brooder, which being a XXXXL Rubbermaid tub is STILL WAY TOO SMALL for that many ducks!! OMG

coolerbator #1 needed a major cleaning, ducks are gross hatching smelled sooooo terrible! uggggggg. That thing has never stopped running since they made it!

Have a lady coming soon for some silkies ducks and the last of the cochin! YAY!!

DOUG maybe add a bigger pile of straw, you could even cut a box side out, open top so the heat stays in the area better, easy fix. sorta like an open top nest box.

I added a third light. They are staying out from under them and running and scratching everywhere. It's only supposed to drop 3 degrees from what it is right now. I'll keep an eye on them. They seem pretty happy.

I think these are barnyard mutts but they are feathering pretty! Mixed with barred rocks for sure though.

Whew! You have been REAL busy. . .congrats!
Hang in there with DH, nice his Mom came to call. Funny how that can change things so quickly...almost gives them someone else to be upset with...in nursing (psych), we call it using a "distraction technique" to re-direct a person's focus etc. Comes in quite handy at times. hee hee (used a lot with children). . .I'm not saying that is the case here, of course, haha

Sally and coch discussed coch's roo with the fast growing beak
Sally answered tonys FF feed questions ... maybe he needs to make it a tad thicker is her consensus
16/17 buttons hatched for sally and they are cute fast little devils - did ya ever get them moved out of the bator sally ?
mr. sunshine is doing good and his recovery bought about a discussion of pain relievers, their effectiveness or non effectiveness and the possible side effects for some (including mr. sunshine who is a little unhappy at the moment from one of said side effects! )

gardeningmama has had no luck with fertile serema eggs yet but duccles are going at 100%

oz has a random india blue mix in the bator and is gifting it to HFR if it hatches .. whether hill wants it or not lol

Cochin's goosey is starting to get her curly feathers in ..
cochin's candled at day 3 and has definite devolopment !!

gardeningmama is considering a peacock ..

and mrs oz should be heading oz's way anytime now !! woohoo !!

sally drilled small holes in the duck eggs but they did not pip where she drilled ... she ended up with 15 total and they are adorable !!



tonys hens are in a bit of a slump .. isnt that normal when you want to collect eggs ?!?

mstricer shared her wonderful bundle of first grandbaby with us (post 14602) welcome Lola May 3rd 6lbs 10 oz 19 inches long !! congrats again from us all .. glad mom and lola are both ok !!

wax beliefs the buttons are adorable but do not hold a candle to little miss Lola

tony is still a little grr over his nonfertile shipped eggs and as of last reading ..he still had not heard back from the shipper !!

toastnjelly says that lola has the same bday as her brother !!

randerson846 stopped by with some hatching questions concerning a broody (post 14661) and ended up moving a cute little hatchling and some eggs into the incubator .. how are things going now ??

sally's broody has nothing but bad eggs ... no more broody's for her she says !!

cochins is sure she saw embryos in the other goose eggs ! YAY! they are on day 4 !!!

sumi is chicken napping MIL's chicken that no one was feeding !!

tony is having some water issues and searching for an ark lol

doug has moved some of his chicks outside in a 16*16 area and is hoping it isnt too early ...but they seem to be doing ok

p.s. now only so i have the few miracle eggs from the first batch .. but it looks like all but 3/4 of the new batch are growing too !! today was day 4/5 for them !!!
