Me too. But I don't care!Years ago when first starting a really flock I had so many problems because I was treating them like a house dog or cat.Once I started to treating them as a chicken I was fine. Just stating my thoughts and what works for me.
At least one good thing about this crap red clay, is the water just runs right off. LOL In a few hours its all dry again. LOL.It's here, too!
No, wait.... There it goes away again..Local weather says it will be Thursday til it clears. I am so sick of rain. My poor broilers are walking mud balls. I move their pen, but it's been raining two weeks straight now, and all my "broiler pads" have not had a chance to recover. Ugh. Thinking about plunking down for a couple bales of hay to get them off the mud. These are going to be some very expensive "spensive homegrown chicken."
