Hi guys, we are here! Nothing to report yet. We got held up back home, no comment, so we only arrived here after dark. Am going to have a look around tomorrow and then I will tell all. Oh, and AWOL didn't get her buddy. Once again, no comment.

Yay and AWOL will have a bud soon!! I cant wait for pics !!

Broody update. 5 days until her hatch date. She is finally settling down a bit when I am putting food and water out for her. She only went for my hand once this morning.

How does an egg end up scrambled fresh from the chicken? I had one of my orpington eggs in with my Sally Eggs, I noticed a thick red vein form but it just rolled all over the egg when I candled. After no progress for 3 days and questionable rolliness I cracked it. It was an omelet inside. Just curious how that happens when I watched her lay it, gathered it within the hour and then laid it on my dresser for about 6 hours before putting it in.

I have an internal pip. Have had one for 12 hours. I can't hear peeping. Help! My egg shell is SO THICK!!! Should I be able to hear anything? Should I candle and look for movement????

you can do a tiny air hole if your SURE its internally pipped. candle quickly see if it moves or hear chirping or a tapping sound, if so just do the tiny air hole and put back and wait!

i never heard peeping until mine actually externally pipped .... and then only one little peep until he was out completely .. a little over 20 hours later ...

I added 7 madamwlf CCL eggs! I won them New Years Day hatch!
SHE shipped me the MOST FRESH, BEST double packaging cLEAN eggs E V E R!!!
AWESOMELY AWESOME! AMAZING air cells, I couldn't have pulled them out from a nest box so perfect for hatching!
NOW LET us pray for fertility and a great incubation! GO blue gorgeous eggs!!

you will also see that I had a trip to Chads house! I came home with live quail AND all those cotournix eggs!
there are a few serama added ooops don't know how they fell in there! and some brahma and HARMONY had to add
her FIRST POLISH EGG! if its fertile it will be hilarious! an OE roo over a black polish!!! he he he

THE eggs have been added and that is the VERY LAST eggs until fall or next year!

I think they are blue or silver, (Ancona) not sure which they will be! and one looks tri color and DH said if he can keep him I can keep the others so I guess he stays, HOWEVER if I sexed them right, he is a boy and there are two pairs of the blues/silvers

Hey guys. I'm having some Turkey eggs coming my way and I have been given this tin incubator. I am trying to get the temp set on it but it seems to fluctuate drastically. It drops all the way down to 90. Is this normal? I have never used an incubator before

EXTERNAL PIP EXTERNAL PIP!!!!!! The duck is stronger than I thought!! He broke through that shell! I would record the hatch, But It's 11PM here and too dark to record. And I can't keep my lamp on all night. And I voluenteer at a horse stable on Tuesday and Saturday, so I will only be home for 30 minutes in the morning... OR... I could wake up extra early and record some and take pics..... I get home at 12:00 in the afternoon tomorrow.
