and trust me, I feel for ya! I learned YEARS ago with dogs and fleas, a preventative is always best, because WHAT A MAJOR ISSUE when you have something, and then they never stop!!

I didn't dust any of the birds today. Spent all day cleaning all 3 houses. Then spraying them all. Then dusting them all. Putting fresh pine shavings down etc etc. I need to get a bee keepers suit to hold those birds.

Quote: Ummm. They aren't that hard if you know how. LOL. I have a secret recipe. People say I make the best they have ever tasted. My kids beg me to cook them.
i love hush puppies.. one of those things i havent quite mastered yet lol me and anything bread related just does not work well .. although i can do semi decent biscuits now lol

Last two assisted are still alive. One is going to make it for sure, The other one......not so sure yet. I put it in a box by itself so the other chicks will leave it alone and gave it food and water. Ill know in the morning. So I got a over 50%. I have 15 for sure and maybe 16 out of 27 I put in lockdown. Some of the ones I put in lockdown should of been tossed. They stunk when I opened them and had been dead since the first week or so. Not much development. Just enough to make me keep leaving them in. Of course I started with 41. Guess that's less than 50%. Most of the other 14 didn't have anything. Must not of been fertile. I need to ask her how many roosters she has. I know she has 24 hens.

Fingers crossed for shipped saddle backed eggs that start hatching tomorrow.

Did a candle on another bator with shipped eggs, Didn't look very promising. Lots of clear eggs with nothing going on after 8 days. This is the second time with this shipper. Same thing last time. Im beginning to wonder. Of course this time was free eggs. Some had some definite development.

Still wondering about the other 80 eggs. Its only day 2 and 3 so im going to wait a few more days and see if I need to toss the ones that spiked at 120 degrees.

All my temps in 3 bators and the soda pop machine are holding just where they need to be. The soda pop machine is going to get a second fan in the bottom tomorrow blowing up. It has one in the top blowing down. It should make the temps hold true throughout. as for now, my probe is next to the eggs I have in it and holding around 99.5 degrees with just .3 fluctuation.

Good night all.
