Going to candle everyone at the next turning since I have a few that I think are dead. also going to see if I can get some straws to work for water.
Day 14 Candle right? good luck... I will see if I can find you.

Pulled 2 more eggs that did not look like day 14 eggs. I think I saw some toes in one of my good eggs. It is really cool to see the chick moving around. I think they move away from the light. So I started with 15 eggs and am now down to 9 remaining. If they all hatch that is a little over 50% hatch rate. Not bad for shipped eggs and a first time incubator. But I am not counting my chickens before hatch day is over.

No I ended up letting it run out and I put a drop of nonscented bleach in a glass of water and cleaned it out with a toothpic, the ACV didn't do anything! I will let it stay "dry" until I get the Humidity down, its back up to 60% again! RAIN!! Hopefully being cleaned and dried out for a few days will fix my mold issue! Stupid stuff, stupid stuff!! None of this "stuff" was in my research! lol
I use distilled water in mine along with Brinsea disinfectant added to the water that I put in the water wells. The disinfectant is rather cheap I thought since you only use just a little bit per gallon of water. It actually costs me more to ship it

Maybe for your next hatch you can get some of that to help. I was told distilled water is better than tap water at discouraging fungus/mold, etc., from starting. I hope it goes away for you and stays away!

I know better next time!

(NOTES: Distilled water for wells, Research cleaning shipped egg, also have on hand Brinsea’s disinfectant, formulated to be used for cleaning eggs, incubators, safe and effective against yeasts, fungi, viruses and bacteria which can cause fatal damage to the growing embryo. WISH I would have known this BEFORE I set eggs and got MOLD in my BATOR!)

I soooo hope these guys make it!

Since the first candling when received the eggs in such a scrambled state plus seeing the bad seeping egg after opening it up, I honestly dont think they will make it.... Tomorrow is day 7, to candle or not to candle. I am now wondering if the air cells actually EVER attach and if they dont can the embryo still grow? I am wondering what a scrambled egg looks like at day 7. More research, but slowly my will to keep researching is dwindling and FAST!

I would candle them, carefully. If you don't, you won't know what is going on in there, if anything. My shipped eggs turned out 2 not fertile, 4 scrambled, 1 early death and 1 in lockdown now and still moving as of yesterday. You may have a surprise waiting in the bator for you!

ETA: I did not wash my eggs before setting, they were pretty clean when they arrived and I don't believe that you should wash them unless there are large clumps of debris on the egg that would hinder a hatch.

They were like liquid in there. I candled when I set them, after 24 hours of sitting still, then again at 7 days and tossed the really liquid-y ones. When I cracked them open it was really gross, but at least I know what I was seeing when I did candle. There was no defined yolk at all when I candled just one big blob of goo that constantly moved all over the inside of the egg. I probably should have let them sit another day or so before putting them in, maybe. I don't know. The whole shipping process was a real mess for me from the get-go though. Next time I order it will be from here on BYC or from a couple of sellers on Ebay that I have marked after reading good comments from.
