Any recommendations for mal-positioned babies that are weak and haven't pipped?

Everyone was progressing except those 2 eggs. Not even an internal pip so I opened them up to take a peak. I see legs and yolk, so they must be mal-positioned. Veins are starting to recede and they are very dark (increased carbon dioxide levels). Both are very weak. Part of me says to go find their beaks and get them breathing, but another part of me says it's too risky and they'll have a better chance being left alone.

If you can locate her beak I would go for it gently, should find instructions in Sallys sig. I lost 6 after 18 days, by the time I got around to them, it was too late.... really sad.

I hate missing days on this thread.. Oh well, I'm caught up again.

I have 8 newly hatched chicks, 3 zipping, 2 external pips, and 2 with nothing. They are hatching around my goose eggs because they began hatching early... I really hope that this doesn't compromise the goose eggs which are due May 30th.

yay!! whats with the 2 nottas? did u investigate?

oh no! is it cocci? does she free range? she got medicated starter feed? sneezes sniffles? get into mold and perhaps that mold cold thing?
any others sick?

I would investigate and try to find her beak, know anatomy and look for the most probable position, mals always suck you know that, hit or miss, mostly misses, but with yolk in air cell you can just pull head up in out like most saddle cells. Good Luck Coch

Wanted to let everyone know that I am taking a break from life, and not holding my breath either!

Heading for a day trip to beach tomorrow, perhaps staying until Friday. I soooo need to just sit and stare at something other than what is in front of me!
