Pics Please. How many in one area? How big the area? Are they all the same age? Same breed? I had bigger chicks torturing smaller chicks and killing them a while back.

I came home and the chick was dead. The others seem fine. That's the first chick I've ever lost like that other than the crossbeam I had to put down. I hope the others are okay! I have two cream legbars in there!!!!!

Do you have a thermometer in there? I only ask because I have the same setup basically but I have to keep the light indirect, hanging on the wall behind them. I have it about 2 feet above and 2 feet away and it it is 95 - 98 in that end. If I put it directly over it goes to 110 and starts to heat the plastic and off gas a bad smell.

if i am no mistaken, your chicks are older now

you need to reduce at 5F per week

I have eggs peeping!! I'm not sure which ones it is though... I have button quail on day 15, and some Black Copper Marans on day 19. I'm not real hopeful on the button quail, but we'll see.

The week and half old chicks are moved to the grow out area now and the hatchlings are in there now They are only a day or so old.

Yes I do I'll add a second to double check my temps
