Last time I tried feather sexing I ended up with a roo named Heide

. If I remember correctly... it's been awhile, he's feathers were long with short ones in-between, not all long, like Hope's ones. So I'll vote "Girl". fingers crossed I got it right this time LOL

She's adorable! Any sign of external pip form her buddy yet? I'm off now, but I'll pop in in the morning. Please update through the night?

No, no pipping yet, but I saw another one that is alive when I candled, but the one I originally saw movement in was still... I saw the beak moving around in the air cell a LOT in this one though! I am praying that he doesn't take as long as Hope did. She is so adorable. :3 I hope it hatches soon. It's day 26 now!!! LOL How does this even happen???
That is soooooo cool !!!! keep in touch!!!

Hi everyone I have yet another question. It is about lockdown...we have a home-made incubator as shown in the picture. We have a bunch of holes in it purpose was to lower the temps but during lockdown do these holes need to be closed up? What if it gets to hot in there?

six more r pipping and the others are due tomorrow!!

so far one dead and I SHOULD NOT have helped

WARNING GROSSNESS poor thing.... but its a good reminder of WHY some DO NOT MAKE IT!

yes to hold the humidity in. lower your bulb wattage

Rock I just adore your Roo avatar!!

Thanks Sally... His name is Alfred (I know, its awful but he was so ugly as a chick... It totally fit him at the time). He's such a handsome well behaved boy now... I will never give an ugly duckling name again. LOL! He dances for the girls and takes such good care of them. Always front & center.
