3D don't feel bad. What day is it? They should have hatched around day 21. Hope was a miracle chick as it was. Need to make some tweaks to your bator and you will be ready to rock the next hatch. Consider this learning process better than any you would get from a book.

Sally, what do you think about this. I know in the past for other animals, we have used plain baking flour to clot blood. (Dog toe nails, cuts and abrasions) What do you think about in case of an accidental blood running from the membrane using a small amount of flour to clot it. (in case of extreme emergency) I know it would be risky and need to be avoided around the chicks beak.

3D.... easy does it! You are doing the very best you can and sometimes... there is a plan already set for these little guys. Just take a deep breath and be calm for them.

I keep a wet COLD papertowel with me along with the warm water basin..... I use cornstarch for bloody navals... usually the cold wet towel stops it

I think its malpositioned it never turned : ( in that case its not good, we need to get her set up with a better set up for next time. her heating and keeping track with an oral is not ideal at all : ( and no hygro.... but I am AMAZED at HOPE thats for sure!!

Sticky chick: after pipping, the liquids dry becoming glue-like followed by concrete-like; caused by too little humidity during lockdown

Wet sticky or Swollen: the chick is swollen with water or simply very wet and sticky; caused by too high humidity throughout incubation

Drowning: the whitish outer membrane is dry while the clearish inner membrane is wet, binding the chick; also caused by too high humidity thoughout incubation

*Chicks experiencing more than one of the extreme conditions can exhibit multiple issues.
*These same issues can also occur during natural incubation, under a brooding hen.

Low incubation temperature is the problem poor kiddo! WE WILL FIX THIS FOR NEXT TIME!!
