Sorry I havent been on, we had a litter of English Springer Spaniel pups whelp and I have my hands full with them at the moment! I will check back as soon as I have time!

Day olds whelped Wed.

This are my January hatch having their first day of sun

He/she was shrink wrapped. Had to help.

And these are the rest of them.
So cute.

I also have some in the incubator day 7 and out of 47 I ended up with About 20 ,and half of them I am uneasy of...
Huuuu so disappointed. My last hatch I had 25 moving at lock down and only hatched ten.
Humidity was good, temperature was good. Why would this happens.?
your such a show off!!!! OMG!!! Its soooo freaking cold here!!!!!

like night and day!! this is my poor chickens

Had a bad thermometer and I am dealing with the fallout from that which is a mushy chick. I can hear fluid in her lungs so I am trying a novel treatment and it is looking like it might be promising.

I figured that the problem is developmental when the issue is low temp and high humidity. So I did some research on how NICU babies are treated for fluid in the lungs and I came up with a combination of bronchodilator, steroid, antibiotic and diuretic treatment.

I have asthma so I have the antibiotics, steroid and bronchodilator covered. I got some furosemide from my vet to cover the diuretic. She has made it 72 hours and has passed her meconium and is now showing some slight interest in pecking at the food on the floor.

Wish me luck.
viagra LOL

I have missed so much!

Doug your baby girl is precious!

I am surviving...barely! I have chickens in breeding pens but have not gotten around to checking fertility. Eggs are usually freezing by the time I get to them. Hoping this weekend to clean up some chicken butts and turn on lights and then see what happens.
I hear that!!!! GO AWAY COLD bring it SPRING!
