What in the world is going on in that bator dolfi!

How are you doing with the ventilation and plugs?  what brand is it again, and what hygro and thermometers are you using?  still air or air (sorry I cant keep track of everyone)  and what temp are you running at?  and you bleached and sterized the bator well? what is the humidity outside inside vs the bator?

somethings array, we will figure this out!

I have three thermometers and they read 102,100,102. Humidity 34,29. Plugs are in and I have LG still air.
Yet I got the new bator. So I put them there. It has a fan. Temperature now is a steady 100 . don't want to mess with it. Lol

OMG enough of this cold!!! the link to that short article and info is pretty cool a few things I didnt know!

Torpor

Many birds will enter torpor to conserve energy during cold winter nights. Torpor is a state of reduced metabolism when the body temperature is lowered, therefore requiring fewer calories to maintain the proper heat. Most birds can lower their body temperature by a few degrees, but torpid birds have lowered their body temperatures by as much as 50 degrees. Torpor can be a dangerous behavior, however, as the reduced temperature also leads to reduced reactions and greater vulnerability to predators. Hummingbirds, chickadees, swifts and other types of birds regularly use torpor as a way to survive cold temperatures.http://birding.about.com/od/birdingbasics/a/howbirdskeepwarm.htm
