So anyone have experience with the brinsea incubators? I'm on day 22 and no pips yet. Just wondering if I should worry. I turned up the heat to 100 and up. The humidity from 45 to 50% but this is the first time I've used it so not familiar with it

Well I just figured out my problem...I should have had the RH% up to 65% for hatching...hopefully they are not all shrink wrapped...

I will give it another day or so and see what happens! can't believe I could be so dumb...the styrobators I'm used to and this was a rookie mistake! oh well another batch goes into lockdown this sunday!

I have a thought.....

Incubator Incubator on the mind, and walking on my bathroom floor and its so warm under my feet.....

I am thinking about designing my incubator with the use of Ceramic Tile as an inner lining on just the three long sides, but not in the very back behind the return shoot, instead of just a wood cabinet or board insulation, it is more work, but I have set enough tile to know how set it. It would make it a tad heavy but its not like I would be moving a cabinet from here to there anyways. It would be simple to sterilize, and more sanitary than wood. I am fairly sure we still have the drill bits and such from previous projects..... again thoughts thoughts and more thoughts!!

ok Oz I have no idea how to use that thing, But I will order it now, anything else needed with it? I will assume it goes in a line with something else?

It this a new bator Hill? Did you candle any?

so you have not an single internal pip?
none that I can see

tried to candle a few but Brinsea is difficult to lift and replace easily. unlike my styrobators...but I will try and candle again in a bit. Just really bummed about not turning up the humidity like I should have. in my styrobators I never kept the humidity up above 50% but also haven't hatched eggs in several months so kinda lost myself on the basics I think. anyway I think I lost this hatch but will try again with the next hatch!
