Oh how awesome!!! you go girl! I cant wait to see them! yay!!!

I put them in a small metal cage and went inside to get saran wrap to keep them from getting out. I came back and 8 were already walking on the grass. So i put them in the cage and into my utility cart that has sides. That will keep them in until I can put up hardware cloth for their growout pen. They are TINY. I did crack the other 2 eggs and both had started. One stopped about 10 days and the other was at least day 18. One blood ring out of 14. I have 18 more being shipped out today. Am I crazy or what?

well what is left from my shipped turkey egg's will be going into lock-down on Friday over all i ordered 4 eggs got 2 extra one was broken on arrival, lost one to my dog, 1 blood-ring and the 3rd one in the incubator looks clear. But 2 look "hatch worthy" so we will see.

I keep getting stargazer chicks (wry neck) from my one hen. Does anyone have the link to that list of vitamin deficiencies (in the hen) and resulting disorders (of the chicks) that had been up on here before. I cannot find it.

Can anyone tell me what I should give the chicks in order to help to correct the stargazer thing? (torticollis I think- or is that a type of pasta?).

If they are really young it could also be a yolk sack infection, which by the time they start the neck thing it's too late to save them. I have a picture of a duckling that I thought had wry neck, but boy was I wrong! Not saying that's what you have, just keep it in mind. Here is a link that you mind find useful:
