If you have the top off the egg at the next point... AND the VEINS are still filled with blood you will need to dampen their inner membrane AVOIDING their beaks every 2 hrs. and continue until final absorbtion!

WETTING THE MEMBRANE MAKES IT TRANSPARENT SO YOU CAN VIEW THOSE VEINS!

once the blood has been drawn into the body the viens will look thin, webby and the membrane will look transparent

I am currently searching for a pic for you... brb

Ok so the air cell holds the air while in the shell, now I feel dumb... so it is ok to pip open her head? as in the pic that would be all the space to the right? In the fat end of the egg? The other side holds blood and yolk for her to absorb?
right....just AIR CELL AREA!! BUT ONLY if she doesnt in 6-8 hrs ok??

I am trying to find more pics!! ugggg

just wanted to say that i'm following and i am rooting and praying for you kelly!!! you can do this!!

this is as close to ready as I can find! I will keep searching!! I cant believe I didnt take a pic of this!!! grrrr and I have no more eggs in the bator cept ducks!!!

THIS PIC IS PRETTY CLOSE TO VEINS BEING ABSORBED! But again.... any blood drops STOP dampen PUT BACK IN BATOR!!

OK Last step..... WHEN it absorbed all that blood, dampen mebrane and carefully use a tweezers, I like the kind with a flat tip not pointed btw..... Then gently peel the membrane from the beak towards the sides of the shell and I sorta stick them OVER the shell and they sorta stick to it kinda like putting a trash bag in a trash can lol....

once you have the membrane pulled off the top of the chick wet along the outer shell membrane one more time and REPLACE THE CHICK IN THE BATOR!

STILL DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL OR TILT the chick out of its shell!!

LET the chick do that part when its ready!!!

see this girl above? membrane pulled out over the shell wet and put back in bator and I bet you will have a chick out shortly!

AGAIN I cant stress enough..... DO NOT OPEN THAT INNER MEMBRANE OTHER THAN beak!! UNTIL the end
WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!

sometimes you may see that there is just a bit not absorbed and a big navel...... like in the pic below... the chick may indeed survive, but again it is BEST to let them do the pushing out when they are ready....
