Try bribing her with a yummy treat. Lettuce or tomato or grapes. something she will love but is juicey. If that does not work you might have to force some sugar water down her. If you have a chick you might try giving her one to see if it will motivate her off the nest. Not sure how long she has been on the eggs but if she is skinny she may not have been able to keep them warm enough. I am not very experienced with broodies so hopefully someone who knows what to do will chime in. This is just what I would try to get her back to healthy and happy.
I tried the chick thing ...she got mad and pecked it

Does anyone have experience with a brooding hen? I have a hen that has been on these eggs for awhile now...I never wrote down the date though but I feel its well over the expected date. I candled the eggs and they have odd air sacks but are moving. My concern is my hen though...I took her and the eggs inside my house...she is so skinny under those feathers..she is starving, although I have been feeding her but I don't think she has been getting enough and she refuses water...so I've tried to feed her foods n add water. She hasn't pooped either...so what do I do? I don't want to loose her

I agree with tempting treats. Scrambled egg, yogurt with meal worm sprinkles, something like that. My gal Summer sat for almost two months before her eggs hatched (1 batch of duds) and she started getting a bit skinny and pale in the comb. All you can do is try to tempt her with extra good food or trick her with some chicks so she will eat to demonstraight to them how to eat. In the end, chicks will be the only final fix. :/ Good luck.

sumi gave me a pic!!! another update in the article!

If the egg is fertile, the white mark will be nearly perfectly round and in the center it will be yellow;
it will resemble a donut. If it is infertile, the white mark will not be very round, and in most cases, smaller than that of the fertile mark. If the egg is not fertile, the 'white mark' is called a "blastodisc". If the egg is fertile, the 'white mark' it is called a "blastoderm", and this means that cell division, because of fertilization, occurred. A link with more pics of fertile vs Non Eggs! https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/16008/how-to-tell-a-fertile-vs-infertile-egg-pictures

Day 4

One of my chicks is abnormal. I posted a thread but maybe someone else here has seen it before...Sumi????

One of the chicks looks like she is carrying a water balloon to the side of her. It look very watery. I can't open the bator yet and it is driving me crazy to know what is wrong with the chick.

Uh oh! Show us a picture. Is it on her belly, around where her yolk sac may have been?
I sure hope she's alright!
