The chick is having problems getting out of the bottom half, looks like he is a bit stuck. Going to read up on sticky chicks. But since he is already, ostly out do I need to help or will he be able to finish himself? It's been over an hour... And how likely does this make it that other chicks are stuck?
His or her belly could not be ready to come out yet. It absorbs that last little bit of yolk pretty fast usually. I just has one hatch that had the cord still attached and protruded tummy thing goin on and she's for now it's already healed since last night

Please read my thread under Incubating & Hatching Eggs called - Assisted Hatch Chick put back under Broody Hen, Help Please

I just want to know if I should just leave it alone and not dab it with water, since the hen probably provides enough humidity for it. I'm just not sure, it is cold in my house, but the eggs certainly aren't, so I know under her, the chick is very warm.

Please help. I know, I did wrong, probably shouldn't have helped, but I've only been dealing with this for a few months and keep learning the hard way.

That could be too but it looks like membranes on his back are sticking as well. He is facing the back wall but what I can see of the belly looks clear. :/ I can't see very well though.

Ok, went to get pictures and the little one had managed to get loose but it looks like you were right. I moved as quickly as I could and the little one is now sharing the rubbermade tub. S/he isn't as bad as the first chick and I don't see any yoke. More worrysome to me right now is the chick seems sluggish and very, very tired. It is probably just having spent the last two hours getting free and the scare of the Hand picking him/her up but...

Sorry I haven't been round earlier, was a little busy... If the new baby don't perk up give her a little sugar water. Just dribble it on her beak. That should help a bit. How's the one with the unabsorbed yolk sac doing?

Yoke Chick is Fiesty. If I wasn't worried about the other chicks messing with what is still protruding I would probably transfer her to the brooder. Definite personality there.

Glad it's loose. With mine some always are more sluggish than others, they need naps :)
