OH NO! those darn styro bators are so gosh touchy!!! uggggJust came up to check on my bator to find a heat spike of 39.5 C!!!!! Oh no!!! Are they ok? I don't how how long they were at that temp, but I am worried!!!! I candled some eggs, a lot of them I can't tell if they're alive or not, but at least I was able to tell the silkies and a few FCMs were ok... The others, I can't decide.... I will take a pic an post it tomorrow... Could a temp that high kill the chicks? The other thermometers read 105 F- 106 F![]()

I cant wait to see the duckies Coch!! I am really sorry and also upset about that goose!! awwww darn!Hey everyone, I'm still haveing computer troubles, so I won't be online much. I can't upload any pictures either, but as soon as I get my laptop back, I will post those duckling pictures for you Sally.
Looks like my sebastopol goose egg stopped developing 4 days ago. Temperatures in the incubator were perfect, so more than likely it was from shipping. It probably died around the stage of an 8 day chicken embryo, but I won't know for sure until I open it up. I'll leave it in for the rest of the week, but I'm sure that the emrbyo died..Looks like no goose for me.![]()
Sally, I'm so sorry about your chicks. Are some still hanging on? Where did you buy them from?
I went to a Poultry Swap last saturday. I was able to sell my extra male ducklings, and somehow I came home with 3 beautiful fan tail pigeons. These guys are absolutely gorgeous! So I've been researching pigeon keeping, haha. Sounds pretty easy, and quite a few people say that you can keep them with bantam chickens. I'll post pictures when I get my lap top back.
Fingers crossed it will go better this time! What the heck were they thinking off? It's the middle of Winter! If the babies are hanging in there give them a chance. Hopefully with some TLC and warmth and chick saver they'll pull throughUPDATE on my chicks ~ They are sending me the chicks I ordered AGAIN, I was told that my box was for a warm state and not a cold state after I decribed the box and packaging. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO here we go again.... chicks to arive friday BTW I have 4 spitz & 3 WFS alive but a few are just laying there breathing yet, poor mites I just keep praying and thinking they will get up!! should I just cull, oh I hate this shitaki!
