Thanks I was worried about the suppliers fert rate because I had 9 clears out of 18. I ended up with 2 blood rings and hatch all seven that went into lock down. I have so many offers for eggs this trip that I will wait to things warm a little in the high country before I order a boat load of eggs.

So day 21 came and went on monday...was starting worry but then..heard peeping this morning and a bunch of pips on the eggs 14 so far, then heard really loud peeping and 1 had hatched!! then another...

not sure what I will do with so many ..but looking forward to the different breeds that are in there! LOL...

- sally i'm so sorry about your little one!! I hope you are doing ok. how is bubba?
YAY!!

I just checked the one with the feet over the head, he was breathing real hard in the shell and he finally died, he was stuck like that since yesterday morning but I didnt want to compromise the rest for him, and now I feel terrible about it.

Quote: It can take up to 6 hours from internal pip to external pip. If you hold the egg against your ear you will hear that frantic little tap-tap-tap-tap-tap inside with a frustrated "cheep" in-between!

Good luck with your hatch! I hope it's going to be a nice worry-free one.

Okay!

Still no external pip. Remind me how long it takes for them to externally pip after they have internally pipped?

it takes a long time. remember it is a tiny thing doing a lot of hard work. Let it do it's job. Don't be in a rush cause once they hatch you are responsible for feeding.

Could I be able to hear it scratching from outside the incubator so I don't have to hold it up to my ear? I know there are no peeps yet.
