Sally-what idiot asks a question then calls the most informative answer spam. Obviously if they knew all about humidity they would not have asked the question.

I was thinking that as I was responding but didnt want to get mean but I sure was feeling angry and upset trust me.

Sally, I love your duck house! It's beautiful! I need to build something like that, but until spring, they'll stay in the 6 ft by 6 ft dog kennel in the barn.

Oh, and as far as that one thread goes, don't let it get you down. That was extremely rude and inconsiderate. You know in your heart that you did the right thing.

We need a barn too, haha. Ours is really old. I believe it was build in the 1800s. We can't afford to fix it up, so it will eventually collapse... We have no idea when it'll collapse. It could be next year or even 10 years from now. I keep all of the chickens in the barn, so I need to start finding and building coops this summer so that I can get them out of there before anything happens.

I'll try to take pictures of her today (I still need to take the egg pic for the Easter hatch-a-long

). She hasn't had pasty butt and she's looking very healthy. I never sexed her because I was worried about her navel, but now I wish that I would have. Celtic Oaks told me that the gosling looks like a girl based on her down color, so I'll go with that.

Her navel... I was putting more iodine tincture on it this morning when she kicked and my hand slipped. The black knob peeled off half way. I looked at it and decided to take the rest off. It bled a little, but not much. For the most part it looks closed. I put some antibiotic ointment over it to be on the safe side.

By the way, I keep calling her Goosey and even though it's a really silly name, I think it's going to stick, haha.
