Five babies! This was definitely a learning experience and I am ready to do another batch when I get back frm NYC next week!
 
One of the yellow chicks is a pure Wheaten Ameraucana, the rest should lay green and olive eggs . . . if they are pullets. I think the all black and one of the yellows are roos but we shall see!
 
Moved some dirt. Now off to plant some veggies. For dinner tonight I am fixing a plate of ibuprofin for me and letting the kids feed themselves. chickens are loving the pile of dirt.
 
LOL I enjoy working in the garden and planting veggies, especially when I have chickens "helping" me. When you are harvesting your own vegetables you will be glad you went through all this for it! Homegrown veg are so nice. And once the veggies are planted the hardest part is over! Then it's just water and weed.
