slightly. we put together the kids new swingset last night to the point where we could hang a swing for them to try out. I was almost motivated to go out and hang another swing for the kids this morning when they were outside at 8:15 sharing the one lonely swing. Thankfully they decided it was too cold out. I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Chicken poo will burn your plants, unless you age it first. It's very acidic. I used to mix mine with wood ash too neutralise it for my compost heaps. Cow poo is great though. I saw a thread on straw bale gardening down in the gardening section awhile ago. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I might..

I haven't investigated the soil here yet. It's too wet! We got some seeds in containers and they are starting to come up. I miss my garden in SA. I had a huge one and we grew all sorts. I loved it. But that soil was rocky! I used to joke and say if we could sell stones we'd never have to worry about money again LOL Here's that thread I told you about:

Compost the chicken poo first. It is too hot. Cinderblocks also make a cheap easy raised bed.
