my last baby hatched out in my hand. I decided a little bit ago it was time to really help. I peeled off shell and moistened the membrane and tried to let it do the rest. It was worn out so I peeled back the membrane a little more and it gave a push and out it came. I have video but need to get it from my phone to computer and then to youtube so it will be a while before I can post it. It is roaming around the bator with a buddy that i left in there for it. Seems to be recovering from its ordeal fine. Goofy chicken coming out of the wrong end. Amazing!

Ok...this is my first time incubating and I'm collecting eggs for 7 days from to specific hens for this hatch. I have changed the bedding in their nest boxes so the eggs are clean as possible. Today, one of the eggs has smudges on it. Ugh! I've read and read about to clean or not to clean half do, half don't. It's raining heavily here and trying to keep them spottless is harder than waiting on the eggs. Here's a picture if the front & back of the egg. Would you wash or put in the incubator. So far, I only have 4 total eggs from the girls on day 2 of collecting. I'm not sure how many more I'll get by Friday.

I'm not trying to invade your thread, just figured from the little I've read here that I would get good advice.
