Hi Jes!! How in the world did that happen! CONGRATS ON THE HATCH, I bed he was so excited too!!Thanks for sending me this way! We are going through our first hatch right now using an incubator my son made from a cooler. Yesterday was the official hatch day and this morning we had a pip and good news we came home to a CHICK however...his foot was caught in the incubator fan![]()
we got its foot unstuck however 2 toes are bleeding and swollen. I put some neosporin on it and put it back in the incubator. it is cheaping and resting and is moving around a bit...should I do something else? I know it says to not feed them for a couple days after hatching but since it is injured should i?
Also...I have another egg that as of 2:15pm had piped the shell off the egg however did not poke through the white part. is that ok? it is now 9pm so it has been 7 hours
Thanks!!
I can give no help in regards to the foot but this is my orthopedics link.. if you need more later on I have more

The new pip that didnt go through...... I would read back a few pages, ok SEVERAL LOL, as this is what was happening at the beginning with 3D's chicken.... I would open a tiny hole at that white spot so that your sure she is getting oxygen. and if you hear her chirp put her back in and wait!
in the mean time read through how we all helped 3D through her hatch and TAKE THE TIME TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you go any further than a tiny hole ok??? if you cant find the links in the thread, its all in that article just scroll down to day 18 candle and read on!!!
