Sally, it feels like yesterday you started this thread and you hatched Halo after all that drama. Look at you now! Every time I ask how many chicks you hatched you lose count LOL How many incubators have you got running now?

Just the coolerbator and the crappy styro is holding the 5 ancona duck, 2 Langshan, and 6 OE's

I know there will be 12 in the coolerbator drying off, 2 losses and the rest are in the brooder LMAO!!

I know right? ITS THAT COOLERBATOR I swear it is!!! IT ROCKS!!!

I was trying to take pics of my beautiful blue sept babies and all they did was want to peck me and the camera!! stinkers!!!
so I threw some crack down and this is what I got then



and my big beautiful roo... hard to believe they hatched sept!!

Are these chickens actually blue???!!! They are so pretty. :O

Hi Sparky!!

I wish you all were closer, I could use some help wrapping the kids stuff : ( hubby cant help as someone has to watch the children.... I sooo need a babysitter!!! Sparky and 3D I wish you two were right down the road... or my own kids too!! I have 5 whats 2 more right???

Umm I am not sure how it's going. Hope is doing magnificently good, but I don't know about the eggs. They don't smell yet, and I candled one two days ago and it had internally pipped. Should I poke a hole in the air sac? Another one I could see moving in the air sac really well when I candled yesterday night, but it hasn't pipped yet either. What should I do? Hope keeps putting her head up to the eggs and peeps to them- she knows they're in there. Should I buy a few chicks once I'm sure that these eggs won't hatch? What kind should I get if I do? I think at least one exotic chicken would be cool to have, but the others would have to be good egg layers. Any suggestions for a friendly kind of chicken(s)? By the way, do you think she's a she?...

Also, I am the WORST gift wrapper ever. I just put wrapping paper all over it in no fancy fashion whatsoever, and just tape it a billion times so nothing peeks through. XD lol

Today was the last day of school for me! Yippeee!!!

You are my kind of wrapper! I personally love my orpingtons. Super Friendly and great layers. As for your eggs I would candle and see what they look like and if you can't tell then try tapping it with your fingernail. See if they answer. At this point you have nothing to loose so maybe put a little hole in the shell on the big end to see if there is movement. Sumi would be the better one to help you with this.

Okay, but I'll just candle and listen to them for now... Unless I should poke a hole in the end. What all kinds of breeds of chickens do you have? My first one ever, Hope is a white leghorn and production red mix. *(the father was the white leghorn, and the mother was a production red, so not the way to make a red sex link) I also am starting to see a little bit of brown showing up in her feathers/fluff. ? I love her so much!!!
