I swear we need to make a Young Club for Teens, just to help them out, and accept used equipment for them!!

Don't feel bad. You have better incubators and things, and this is my first hatch and it's day 27. And the incubator was opened a lot. And I have Hope and... well. You get the picture. lool Btw, why do you hatch so many chicks?!

I didn't see the internal pip, and I can't hear it because of all the fish tanks in my room.

3D check craigslist and see if anyone has chicks in your area. Get a couple to be buddies with Hope. As far as what kind at this point just get what is available. Then you can take your time researching chicken breeds and getting your bator fixed up. You can't give up on it. When it works right it is amazing. You had a really rough time of it this time but next time will be so much better.

I bet someone has chicks. If not Hope will be a spoiled little chicken. I had a pet rooster when I was a kid and he was an only chicken. When little he went everywhere in my pocket and then moved to my shoulder. Then I got him a duck to play with. The duck thought he was a chicken. They were best buddies and harassed the dog together.

What kind of chickens were you hatching? Do you know how much your eggs weighted? We weighted an egg prior and they weigh an oz. and a half...mine are silkies...I am so nervous..I hope there isn't a too small of an egg to hatch?
