LOL How long can a person keep a chick out of heat? Every time I take Hope out of it, she always runs back to the incubator window.

Don't worry. If the eggs were meant to be tiny, then the chicks will be tiny too! :3 I didn't pay attention to the weight of my chicks. What kind of chickens were you hatching? Do you know how much your eggs weighted? We weighted an egg prior and they weigh an oz. and a half...mine are silkies...I am so nervous..I hope there isn't a too small of an egg to hatch?
we were going to weigh but circumstances have botched that yet again! But I can pretty much look at the air cell now and feel more confident dont need all that stuff to make it even harder LOLWhat kind of chickens were you hatching? It's okay. Should I keep the last egg in there? It is day 27, and the temp is too low for it. Should I kill it? It is most likely going to die.alot serama, all kinds of maran, gold laced wyandottes, tomorrow is lockdown for langshan and Olive eggers

Quote: sounds fantastic! do you fish chicky? I love fishing!! I cant wait till these younger ones get older so I can actually enjoy it again!
Okay. I won't do that again.I am not a chicken pro yet, but I wouldn't take her out for awhile. They need to stay warm...I heard when they hatch to keep them in until their feathers dry then in a brooder w a heat lamp. 95 degrees and then every week tapper down 5 degrees
