Bator update.... this sounds more enthused than I am....

The "OE" eggs ALL hatched! we have six of them!!
One langshan pipped wrong end and drowned and the other is fluffing up but has a weird navel growth, like a double hernia?? I have had peeps "kick out" too soon and seen a big naval but this one looks like intestines or something.... I just read that I can maybe push them back in, so what the hell I will try..... so only one langshan

Sally who is Harmony? I just read your post ...hope everything is Ok ...Gee I was only off line to sleep and humm I guess most of the morning and I missed what everyone was talking about

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and is happy n healthy...I know its stressful ...I had to go to the store this morning and it was crazy...so glad to be home and watching my eggs! This is the greatest gift of all

to pull postmortem blood i pulled it from the heart. only had to once and that was on a goat, same thing should apply. if it was cold enough and its stayed chilled you should be able to get a sample.

Just set @ 10:00 p.m. eastern time 11 sweedish flowering henn, 12 light sussex, an 7 kaki campbell. They were boughten off of ebay (three auctions and two different sellers). This is my second hatch and second homemade incubator.This will be the first hatch for this bator! I had designed it for 24 eggs, however the generous folks I purchase from sent extrass! Instead of the 8 sussex and 6 sfh I bought i got 23 total, and the ducks came one extra. I had to quickly modify inucbator. We are running at 99 +/_ and 35 percent. Taking notes as this is partly a homeschool project, personel project for me , and a x- mas present.
