Merry Christmas everyone! My lil chick chirped all night and waited until we were unwrapping gifts to unwrap herself! Best gift ever! Thank you everyone for your encouragement and support during my first hatch! I couldn't of done it with out you all!

Congrats!

Thank you everyone for the comments :) So this baby stays in the incubator for a whole day until feathers are dry? What if the others have not hatched? Am I able to open the bator up?? I don't want them to shrink wrap but I don't want this baby to be hungry and thirsty...what do I do?

Chicks don't need to eat and drink for the first 3 days. They live of the yolk they absorb just before they hatch. Are there any sign of pipping from the other eggs?

No signs yet, they were all alive and moving on day 18 when I candled them though...hope they are ok...so give them 3 days?

Ok, can I open the incubator up real fast in 2days and take her out to wait for the others? What are the chances of shrink wrapping if we open it quickly? No messing around inside just to grab her

If you are quick it's fine. But I mean QUICK. I can tell you are dying to play with her
